Sex in old age is still taboo, but after chatting with older friends and family, I discovered there’s a lot more action between the sheets than we imagine. Let’s debunk some myths I found to be pure bull.

1- Sexual desire disappears with age

Blatant lie. Horniness has no expiration date. A 65-year-old friend confessed: “Now I’m feeling like a real tigress in bed!”

2- Sexual pleasure decreases in old age

Another load of crap. A 58-year-old acquaintance assured me: “It might be less frequent, but when it happens, it’s like New Year’s fireworks — spectacular and unforgettable!

3- The elderly aren’t interested in sex or intimacy

Total nonsense. A 61-year-old widow told me: “Just because my husband’s gone doesn’t mean my vagina’s closed for business!”

4- Physical limitations make sex impossible

The body changes, but creativity compensates. A couple in their 60s revealed: “We discovered that sex in a rocking chair is great for the back and hell for excitement!”

5- Menopause and andropause are the end of sexual life
