Are You Still Having Sex Like You’re 25?
Maturity Might Be Your Best Aphrodisiac
I was lying on the couch with my boyfriend, doing that endless YouTube scroll (you know how it is, right?), when I came across a video that completely blew my mind.
It was Dr. Rena Malik, a urologist, talking about sexuality in older age.
I was like… what? Sex and old age in the same sentence?
Well, I’m 30, in a stable relationship, and I’d never really thought about how my sex life might change 20, 30, or 40 years from now.
To be honest, I always thought the peak was now and from here on out, it was all downhill. But this video… oh my God, it opened my eyes in ways I never imagined!
Dr. Malik was talking about a German study that compared sexual satisfaction in middle-aged people with those over 65.
And you know what I found out?
We’ve all been looking at sexuality and age backward!
First off, sexual satisfaction doesn’t necessarily have to decrease with age. Yeah, it looks like that whole “the older you get, the less horny you are” thing is BS. In fact, many people become more satisfied with their sex lives as they age.
