Decriminalize Sex Work and Let Abusers and Traffickers Off the Hook
What Kind of Policy is This?
When we legalize the buying and selling of human bodies, that’s exactly what we’re talking about: men with money buying sexual access to vulnerable people. And now they want us to believe that giving exploiters free rein is somehow “progressive”.
In countries where the sex trade has been fully legalized, hundreds of men pay daily for sexual access to vulnerable women. Amsterdam has become a sexual tourist playground, with lines of men circulating as if they were in a human supermarket. Statistics show a 300% increase in transactions after legalization.
And who are these buyers?
Predominantly upper-middle-class white men, using their economic privilege to purchase access to marginalized women’s bodies. Money’s power creating a new form of sexual colonization.
In countries with total decriminalization, we see a consistent pattern: immigrant women, women of color, and women in poverty are disproportionately “recruited” to satisfy growing demand.
Traffickers no longer need to hide — now they’re “businessmen” managing a legitimate enterprise. Research shows that 89% of people involved would leave if they had economic alternatives. But total decriminalization…
