For The First Time, I Actually Enjoyed Sex!

Do We Need to Pay for Pleasure?

I wrote this article with a mix of fascination and outrage. When I discovered the existence of “rezu fūzoku” in Japan — legal sexual services from women to women — my first reaction was: finally someone thought about us.

It’s not about sexual orientation.

It’s about understanding that women also have desires, needs, and above all, a right to pleasure.

Why the hell do we need to go all the way to Japan to have an honest conversation about this?

The story of Yuriko, a 35-year-old client, resonates like a slap in the face of our society: “For the first time, I really enjoyed sex!”

How many of us can say the same after decades of heteronormative relationships?

What’s most shocking isn’t the existence of these services, but the fact that we need them.

In a society that still treats female pleasure as taboo, women are paying other women to finally understand their own bodies.

And no, it’s not just lesbians.

They’re married women, single women, divorced women, of all ages and sexual orientations.

The common denominator?
