My Sister’s Drama: Cheating or Paranoia?
When a suspicious text turns life into a reality show episode
Girls, grab a glass of wine (or tea, if that’s your thing) and sit down, because what I’m about to tell you is one of those stories that make you question everything in life.
My sister, let’s call her Sarah (fake name, obviously), called me last night more nervous than a bride on her wedding day. She lives in the States, has four adorable rugrats, and has been married to Brad (also a fake name, but super American, right?) for 9 years.
So, Brad’s on a “business trip” to Las Vegas. I can see your eyebrows raising already, can’t you? Yeah, mine too.
Sarah was at home, probably dreaming of five minutes of peace and quiet, when she decided to take a peek at the family iPad. And boom! A message pops up that wasn’t meant for her pretty eyes.
“Room 304, waiting for you, tiger.” Signed by some Jessica from Sales.
Girls, imagine the shock. Sarah went paler than a ghost in a snowstorm.
Of course, she did what any of us would do: she dug through all the messages from the last six months. Previous conversations seemed professional, but there were some flirty bits from Jessica. Brad, apparently, only responded to work stuff. But that doesn’t explain the room invitation, does…
