Last night, after another stressful day at work, I decided to unwind with a cup of tea and do some research on health and nutrition.

That’s when I stumbled upon the fascinating work of Dr. Mindy Pelz. I’ve got to admit, I was shocked by what I discovered, and I felt I had to share it with you.

You know that warm, fresh bread we love for breakfast?

Or that delicious muffin to go with our coffee?

Dr. Mindy Pelz

Well, it turns out they’re real villains when it comes to our youth. Dr. Pelz explains that these foods, rich in sugar and refined carbohydrates, cause our blood glucose levels to skyrocket. It’s like we’re giving our body an adrenaline shot first thing in the morning!

But don’t panic. There are alternatives that can bring incredible benefits:

  • Opt for fiber-rich fruits and vegetables
  • Choose whole grain or slow-fermented breads
  • Include lean proteins in your breakfast

These help maintain stable energy levels throughout the day and even give a little boost to weight loss.

Who doesn’t want that, right?

Now, brace yourselves for another revelation that left me stunned.

Wheat, especially the kind grown in the United States, is another food to avoid. It contains a toxin called Bt that throws a real party in our gut, and not the good kind.

To make matters worse, it’s often contaminated with glyphosate, a herbicide that’s no friend to our brain.

But it’s not all bad news. By reducing wheat consumption, we can:

  • Improve gut health
  • Reduce inflammation in the body
  • Increase energy levels

And those diet sodas we thought were the magic solution? Well, it looks like we’ve been totally fooled. Artificial sweeteners are real tricksters.
